BLS for Healthcare Providers

Who this course is for
This course is aimed  at  healthcare professionals who work in both the  pre-hospital and in-hospital setting e.g. doctors, nurses, paramedics ect

What the course covers
This “Practice while watching” course covers international guidelines and the latest recommendations on:

  • CPR for adults, children and infants as a single rescuer and as part of a team
  • Use of the BVM during CPR
  • Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • High Performance Team Dynamics
  • Special Recommendations
  • Management of the obstructed airway

On registration, the candidate will receive a BLS for HCP manual.

AHA HS CPR and AED

Who this course is for
The Heartsaver CPR and AED Course is intended primarily for those who may be  expected to be a first responder and called upon to perform CPR in their workplace.

The course is ideal for security personnel, law enforcement officers, firefighters, lifeguards, swimming coaches, health and fitness staff, corporate and retail employees and other lay responders.

What the course covers
The Heart saver CPR & AED course is designed to teach the techniques of

  • CPR skills for adults, children and infants
  • Dealing with choking for patients of all ages
  • The use of AED during CPR

A Heart saver CPR & AED workbook is provided to each participant before the course begins.

4 hours

Certification
On successful completion, an E card valid for 2 years is issued. CPD points = 7

These courses are presented in accordance with AHA guidelines

CPR for Family and Friends

Who this course is for
This course is aimed at any member of the public who has no prior medical knowledge and would like to learn life-saving rescue skills for their friends and loved ones. It is ideal for friends and family members of adults and children who have a high risk of experiencing a medical emergency.

What the course covers
The course provides a basic orientation to

  • CPR skills for adults, children and infants
  • Working with an AED
  • Dealing with choking for patients of all ages
  • It also covers how to activate the emergency services.

A Family and Friends CPR Booklet is provided to each participant before the beginning of course. A wallet sized Reminder Card is included with the booklet, displaying the steps for adult, child and infant CPR, and also provides information on the recognition of heart attack and stroke.

4 -5 hours

Certification
On completion of this course the participant will be issued with a card which is valid for two years.
